Todt_Von_Oben Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 (edited) From what I've seen, Andrew Hunt (GooseH) is a master of the craft who won't compromise his values. He has helped me several times in the past; and worked tirelessly on this project, producing a total of 14 skins to get it done to this point and he's still talking about making some more tweaks! And never for money; he does it because he loves ROF and FC and making skins. Thank you, sir! Like the others you've made for me, I will fly these colors proudly. S! Todt_Von_Oben Posted June 14, 2023 Author Posted June 14, 2023 (edited) PS: On my landing, notice how she made a bad move right before the wheels touched down? I believe that's an aspect of the "unannounced stall" folks are talking about. I was maybe a foot or so too high up at the three-point attitude maintaining aft stick pressure when she suddenly stalled and began to roll left. If that left wheel had been any higher, I probably would have lost control. As it is, I made that landing by the skin of my teeth. At this point, I'm still working on keeping her straight during the roll-out. (Don't think I've done what I can call "a really nice three point landing" yet. Going to start experimenting with wheel landings next.) Is that realistic? Might a real SSW-DIV be that way? I don't know; maybe. Anyway, that's how this Collector's Plane is now and I'm not going to let it spoil my fun. I can compensate for that and still fly it. This is just one more quirk I'll have to adapt to in learning to fly these planes. That said and with that one exception, the SSW-DIV pretty much flies like I expected it to and if the design actually had some hidden faults I'll just learn to work around them. Many of us had spin problems with the Camel but eventually figured it out. I still like the plane and intend to keep flying it. Thanks, Devs. Prosit! Edited June 14, 2023 by Todt_Von_Oben
