tctcb Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 hello their ,soo what ive just been reading is that their will never be a mouse clickable cockpit.well at the moment my mouse is for looking around ( camera view)internal external ,,,,,soo their is no way of makin the mouse "as it should be "" a clickable mouse too use as switching stuff "on and off"in the cockpit,i have a gladiator nxt with an 8way hat ,which works fine for viewing inside n outside, what was the point of making the mouse just for (camera views) when it would have made il2 sturmovik more realistic using the cursor for engine startup ect. it would have been ,more interactive wouldnt it....i ask again, so their is no point in looking for a way too change the mouse because their isnt one ,""is that right"or is their"....,if it is what a shame,it would have been even more flight simulated.....thank you for listening.... 2
Avimimus Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 The relatively simple avionics and systems of WWII and WWI aircraft make a clickable cockpit less useful. At this point, I assume it would also be very expensive to implement it for existing aircraft. Personally, having a body for the player/pilot in the cockpit makes a bigger difference (I didn't realise it until someone made a mod). I think increasing the detail of some systems (but having them be accessed by a UI menu or keyboard) could accomplish the same goal? Anyway, Il-2 Cliffs of Dover has some clickability in its WWII aircraft (although only partially implemented) - so you might enjoy that.
tctcb Posted June 13, 2023 Author Posted June 13, 2023 hi blitz pig-el,just read of your comment about mouse clickable cockpit i and wouldnt it be more realistic too look down as in a "real" cockpit and hover the mouse on a real switch (virtual)soo too speak, and switch "whatever"switch " on" wouldnt it add a world of difference ....although tearing il2sturmovik and putting it back together would be a huge prospect as you say ,soo it looks like second best will have too doo....i just wanted too comment because il2stumovik is very realistic,i only bought it about 6 mths ago....and "wow"its like being there........... "almost".........(in virtuality)......
