Rickrick123 Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 I have tried everything can think of. ? I know how to make battles as you can see from my videos. This one thing escapes me.!!
Sketch Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 Use the Attack Command set to high. The ai attackers will line up on the ships and begin attack them. The attackers must be at least 1.5k in the air, at least in my limited tests, before they'll begin attacking. If they're not that high, then they'll climb first. In the image below, we have Allied three ships heading South and four Bf110G2s heading West. Once the Bf110s reach their waypoint, they are then assigned the command Attack MCU, with the 'target' being the three Allied ships. The Bf110s have no other commands after they destroy the ships (as that would require more logic). In the image below, the Bf110G2s finish off the last enemy ship. Attached is the mission for your review. Feel free to use it as you wish. Planes_Attack_Ships.zip 1
Rickrick123 Posted June 12, 2023 Author Posted June 12, 2023 Thanks again it works perfect.!!! No more headaches.!!! 1
Gingerwelsh Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 Tanks, guns, ships, etc will all attack each other without actually doing anything, but place them on the map. If they are in range they will fire and destroy each other. For aircraft I tend to use the Sketch design, (attack command). If you use the simple approach, the outcome tends to be different each time, which means if you jump into the fight, tactics will vary. In this fight, between this barge and a river gunboat, the ending is determined by, who gets the first shot off, which shells are deflected by the trees and the accuracy of the shot. It varies every time. I circle overhead and if the barge loses I attack the gunboat, or use an ai to attack, while I do something else. 1
