It looks amazing to me.

 

I'll be curious to see if the flight modelling is improved. I tried a friend's copy and - well, Great Battles, DCS, and X-Plane were still several years ahead where flight dynamics are concerned (as in - ten year old copies of X-Plane and Il-2 still felt more realistic). The point of flying without really good feeling flight physics is largely lost on me...

Looks GREAT! Will definitely be picking it up in November.  I'm really curious if the avatars and npcs are just for cutscenes who will you actually be able to walk around in the sim as well? Asobo and Microsoft have consistently been knocking it out of the park with community engagement and open and honest information flow since the release of MS2020, that alone is enough for me to support this release!

It's in the title of the promo .... Xbox Showcase 2024. It is a seriously good scenery simulator. Fun for the whole family ....

Yeah but interesting that Micropose seem to have put whatever else they're developing on hold to make something for MSFS. 

Such is the size of this market and it's sales potential it seems developers are finding the pull of MSFS irresistible and this is now effecting other sims.

I wonder how long it will be before Razbam aircraft appear in MSFS?

That’s simply not going to happen for a whole variety of reasons. 
Nevertheless, there’s still a huge appetite for military aircraft in MSFS. They sell very, very well.

After a long run of 2020 and basically spent most time in it to update and find out causes it won’t pass update sequence 

I still have higher hopes this will be a sim I actually will enjoy in a year or two. Unlike a couple of cfs under development. 
I already got a bothersome and unwilling sim I like and little room time wise. 
But if one are honest , the only military work I do in DCS is OH 58 , but mostly I fly transport mission and do logistics 

2024 might be a thing for me, at least I hope so. DCS is full of unfinished products , I should give this the same tolerance and understanding

If real life shiptraffic work’s. More lifelike atmosphere added I am pretty sure this sim will suit me perfectly. 
I am still very sceptical to choppers in this game. I will however follow this closely. It looks damn promising

I was fortunate in that almost everything I wanted to do in 2020 was not affected by any of its shortcomings. I think 2024 will be pretty much the same. DHC-2, A cub of some flavour,  a Got Friends mod pack and a window to look out of . I have no grander ambitions really although I am looking forward to better ATC and more matched AI traffic.

I used it mostly for terreign recognitions and reviewing unknown possible hunting or fishing spots. It eventually became better and better at it here in the arctic. 
But its endless updates made me really fed up. In special if I flew it only 3 times in a month it was always filling my hardrive for an hour or two before I could fly. 
Now I use DCS ORBX Kola map for that. Up here those textures is partly on par with this. 
But being a mainly vintage and chopper enthusiast preferring civil tasks 2024 might after a while be my preferred game.

Any news on if the flying part of the game is being improved? I mean specifically the actual flight modelling and maybe the ability of third parties to do more detailed fm's than they are currently able to do in 2020.

 

I'd love Heatblurs Tomcat to tool around in, in 2024, if it flew like the DCS Tomcat and not the dumbed down 2020 version. I get that when 2020 came out, grey jets weren't a thing in it, and so perhaps they rightly concentrated more on slow GA planes in there flight modelling, but personally they hold little to no interest to me unfortunately.

The only mention thing is better atmosphere and turbulence. You make a good point. A2A hade to implement the lacks 2020 had in order to get it as right as it could be. 
DC 6 is as I understand it abandoned.  It was my favorite. 
The constant updates is as I understand it pretty stressful to keep up with. 
For me choppers is the bottleneck. I don’t trust the yt video reviews. Cause I don’t agree to those I seen.

I am pretty sure I will buy this in about a year. I rather reinstall 2020 if urge get too much. Just hasn’t felt it at all so far

I noticed a fear about making it a console game with PC access in some FB groups. 
This is something I would look at before buying. It is not the money but my HD space making me a bit picky. 
I made a decision not letting my enthusiasm for flight sims make me buy a new rig. But time I am actually spending on them. So I buy when DCS force me to do so. Then I will have HD space for me to take what I like without this boring make sense thinking. I think as I did with 2020 this will be the ultimate sim when ready. But if I hear rumors of a 2026/28 fsx I abandon this forever

2024 has improved dramatically in the Steam review ratings from. "overwhelmingly negative" to "Mixed".

An improvement, but I think I will stick with FSX, for the moment.

In fact, on reflection, I think I will pass on it.
