MrsVonSturm Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) Hello, guys. I'm building a bomber interception training mission which includes B-26 bombers. Do you know any trick to get them past 200 mph? They carry no bombload and fly in straight line at 3000 mts to a WP with Speed:450 and Priority:High, and I'm trying to set the max speed for them (should be 280 mph). Thanks in advance. MrsVonSturm Posted June 9, 2023 Author Posted June 9, 2023 Hi again. I've been testing my mission and kind of found a solution, by getting rid of the Command:Formation MCU and even by deleting the target link between the "wingmen" bombers and the leader one. Now, the unlinked bombers, flying to a different WP for each one (carefully set, close to each other), can reach a good IAS 235 mph (IAS 380 km/h), which seems more realistic as a high cruising speed for bombers returning home with an empty bomb bay. I've made my maths, so: With MCU Command:Formation plus target links between leader and others: - At 3000m : IAS 330 kph = TAS 389 kph = TAS 241.4 mph With bombers unlinked and not in formation: - At 3000m : IAS 380 kph = TAS 448 kph = TAS 278 mph 1 2
