357th_KW Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 I've been running Dserver on my PC for about a month with no problems. Just yesterday I started having an issue where my TrackIR isn't recognized in IL-2 when Dserver is running. If I alt-tab out of IL-2, TrackIR is still working normally in it's software, the lights are green on the camera, but IL-2 just doesn't respond to it. If I reboot and don't run Dserver, then it works normally in IL-2. I'm not sure why this suddenly stopped working - I'm not aware of any updates or software changes that took place yesterday. Interestingly, once I'm in IL-2 with TrackIR working, I can alt-tab to the desktop and launch Dserver successfully that way, and TrackIR continues to work until I exit IL-2. Then if I relaunch with Dserver still running, TrackIR is no longer recognized. This is pretty frustrating, as the goal is to have Dserver running all the time, and I don't want to have to reboot the server every time I want to play IL-2 to test something on the server. PC is running Windows 11 Home version 22H2, build 2621.1778. TrackIR is running the latest software version 5.4.2.27545. Both the Dserver and Il-2 game install are updated to the latest version.
357th_KW Posted June 16, 2023 Author Posted June 16, 2023 To add an update to this, after about a week, the problem seemed to have resolved itself, with no changes. And now after roughly another week it's back.
Nocke Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Start the client first, then the server. If you start the server first, it "grabs" the TrackIR. Shouldn't be like that, but is it what it is. Or start TrackIR after starting the server. 1 1

Thanks, this solved my issue, I now start dedicated server, then TrackIR and then start my IL2 game. all working as it should again. regards Rob.
