Why would a plane that one can fly well on SP, be uncontrollable on multiplayer?

I have been flying the Sopwith Cammel on SP, and it flies quite well. But when I try to fly it in "Flugpark" it is nearly impossible for me to control. I am baffled.

The Camel's fuel tank is behind the pilot, making it unstable in pitch with a full fuel load - check your fuel.

Other than that, the only thing I can think of is turbulence.

It may be the difference in fighting humans vs fighting bots.

It’s easy to get comfortable fending off bots all day, but in a PvP your skills and performance need to be a notch or two higher.

You're probably feeling the pressure a bit too ?

The answer lies in the settings. In SP right hand bottom corner, there is a place called settings. There is "Normal" "Expert" and "Custom"

If you check onto "Custom", and turn everything off but techno chat and warmed up engine, that is really close to how some of the servers are set. The are set to "Realistic" settings. On the "Normal" setting, one has a lot of help flying the plane.

Now would be a good time for someone who knows what they are talking about and explain this to us noobies?  Hint, hint.........?

There is an official manual right here on this forum that explains those settings. ?

This is what you want for flugpark practice Bob.

"Custom", and turn everything off but techno chat and warmed up engine."

For qmb practice,  Set enemy skill level to Veteran.  Ace is crazy good marksmanship, but still crappy dogfight skills.  Veteran is imo more realistic gunner

Make sure there are a lot of enemy planes, and few Friendly's.  Perhaps start out with an advantage.  If that becomes too easy, try your luck at being pursued, or head to head.  Rinse and repeat.

Once you've flown the flugpark, you have the mission on your pc.  With that, you can start a multiplayer game of your own to practice the mission, learn the map, etc..  put a password on it, don't tell anyone, and you have it to use for your personal practice sessions.  You can also, turn on unlimited ammo, and tweak various other things to help you get familiar with things.
