Customizer171 Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 I experience this in some aircraft. Flying in VR only. I-16 for example, if I positioning myself in the seat at a height that makes it possible to see the reticle clearly, it's impossible to see the top part of the instrument panel! Another example is the Me 410. If put myself in the seat, I am so far back that it would be impossible to reach the throttle and the stick is very high, almost in front of my face! If I sit in the seat I have trouble seeing all of the reticle in many aircraft, I often only see the center of it. Is this normal or have I missed something? Can I fix it with some of the settings? How do you set up in the cockpit, do you choose to position yourself in the actual seat with your back against the backrest or do you choose a a position that feel comfortable regarding the distance to the stick, throttle and reticle? 1
-332FG-Gordon200 Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 @Customizer171 You need to bind two commands in game Settings>Pilot Head Control to buttons. 1. Default VR View. (Key pad #5) 2. Save current corrections in head snap position. (F10) While in VR move your head to a desired position and press F10 button. This will save that view for that aircraft. Then press Default VR View button to see the saved position. You can keep doing that until you have the seating position to your satisfaction. You may need to lean left or right, forward or back to get a position you are comfortable with. Hope this helps. 1

It feels like I have a wrong "dimension" or scale when I am in some of the cockpits. I have no trouble to move my head and save the position. Problem is to get that position to match up with the seat (in the aircraft), the controls and the reticle! I can't get all three to match (in some of the aircrafts) Some Russian aircrafts for example, if I positioning myself correctly in the aircraft seat, I am only able to see the inner ring and crosshair of the reticle. If I move closer to the sight, so that I can see all of it, I have a virtual distance of several decimeter between my back and the backseat of the aircraft. In other aircrafts the controls are out of reach when I positioning myself correctly in the aircraft seat. Strange thing is that it isn't the same in all aircrafts ? Any ideas what this is about and how to fix it?
