Those are rectangular objects called "land_canvas" in the mission editor. A mission builder can use these to mark something, such as the "V"s used here to point to the landing area of the runway. Another use for them is a "T" shape, which is a real-life standard to mark a landing direction into the wind (or as close as possible). The landing direction is from the bottom of the T to the top.

 

You can run over these objects with no effect.
