Modding Career Templates & Improvement of Dynamic Careers

Hi. Has anyone tried modding mission templates in dynamic careers? I've been messing around a bit with it, I've figured out how to change mission altititude etc.

But I'm wondering has anyone dip his toes deeper?

How would I add for example new *.Group files? New waypoints and triggers? Mixed AI level flights? Making AI to break off and not to follow you for hundread km to home airfield? To make your wingmen callout enemy when they deliberately break off during free Hunt?  Change the number multipliers for difficulty levels? Is there any guide how templates are coded?

I know it is possible to be done since some (if not most) of this is already used in PWCG. I know it will be hard work and probubly a long task, but I think it has to be done as the devs doesn't seem to care much about sp dynamic careers anymore and doesn't seem to solve problems adressed by sp players community (no offence pls).

I hope there are more people like myself who want to improve the dynamic carees, even if it has to be done by ourselfs.

More missions like train busting, anti-ship missions etc would be awesome.

Thanks I've seen it. But there are just som basic changes like changed plane types etc. I'd like to change the way how the flight paths and heights are generated etc.

I think the settings are packed somewhere in the Scripts.gtp but I don't know how it has to be modified. I just had a look in some settings files.

More detailed settings are in the sgt.gtp:

Has anyone found a way to modify the altitudes of waypoints? If we could improve bomber and patrol altitudes for the western front especially, that would be phenomenal.

It would be something in scg.gtp and locationsX.gtp. While setting up the increased AAA ranges mod for QMB and campaigns it was fairly obvious that the missions are built using the files in the 27 folders (3 are WW1). So somewhere in these folders would be the waypoint heights. Some folders seem to be QMB related (you will see a blocks_quickmission folder under the numeric folder eg numeric folder 4) and some are career related (blocks_career folder under the numeric folder eg numeric folder 14)

You'd have to do some digging around and pick one particular set of folders and experiment to see what you could reliably change to create a mod.

Yes, I've been messin' aound with this a bit. I found out how to change player route waypoint altitudes, but not the AI ones. It can be find in sgc/career_number/templates/number_of_mission_type/15000/1/route/*.mt.

i.e. scg/15/templates/1102/15000/1/route/frontline-attackers_p00-1102-v1_frontline-attackers_m00-1102-15-v1.mt
