Il-2 Running Horribly, No Explanation in Sight...

Hello folks, just wondering if there is a solution to a problem I have encountered.

I recently decided to install il2 on my laptop, as it is better then the PC I used to use.

 

Laptops specs are as follows-

1060

16 gb ram

i5 8300

latest win 11

(My old pc, worse or even in every way was able to run the game, in MP, satisfactorily.  Low settings, 60+ fps) (it was windows 10...)

 

I installed it on my hdd, (I played on my old, and worse pc, with the game on an hdd, on MP with no issues)

 

Now, I am experiencing horrible gameplay and stuttering problems, it is impossible even to play single player, it is even difficult to click on things as the mouse lags so much.

Imagine trying to play il2 on a Gameboy, that is about what I am experiencing.  Not smooth fps with lag spikes, just horrible performance straight out.

 

Any help?

Are you using the nVidia card for the game or the i5 built-in grafics?

Evidently I was using the i-5, switched to the NVidia card, and there it was.  Smooth sailing.
