How to fly two friends together via LAN

Hello friends.
We have two PCs in two different rooms of the same house.
Both are attached to the same internet network.
We both have IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles (via Steam) and would like to do some missions, flying together, as friend or foe.
I've built many campaigns and missions, but always for a single player.
So I need some information.
1. Are the missions to be flown together by two or more players special missions (coop missions, maybe...?) or even a normal mission (but I don't think so because there is only one aircraft enabled as a "player")? Where can I find and download them?
2. What are the steps to connect the two PCs together (via LAN...?) and the procedure to fly the same mission ?
Is there a guide?
Note that I don't want to join a multiplayer server on the Internet, just connect two PCs to each other via cable.
A thousand thanks.

I think the best option for you is to go to multiplayer (don´t worry, don´t need to join a public server) and CREATE your own server. It´s quite easy. You just need to open some ports in your router.
Once you create the server (dogfight or cooperative, as you prefer) you can use a password to prevent other players to join, and fly together with you friends.

"just connect two PCs to each other via cable." I don´t know if this is possible, but I´m sure the other option is more easy.

The mission maps should be set to 'deathmatch' type, then you can add separate airfieds, each assigned planes of your choice. Remember to set the 'coalition' of each airfield or they will not be selectable.  Alternatively, you could use suitable maps saved on your system from any previous multiplayer activity.

The necessary connection already exists, just select Multiplayer and set up your own server. Configure the server not to be visible on the Internet, no need for a password nor port configuration.
