354thFG_Rails Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Anyone know what prop is used on the D28 in game?
354thFG_Rails Posted May 18, 2023 Author Posted May 18, 2023 What blades though. It doesn’t look like a Curtis electric symmetrical that was factory standard for the D28. Looks like an AO smith blade which it shouldn’t have from the factory.
FuriousMeow Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 The 3D model may not match the values/data used to create the flight model, if that's the information you're trying to get.
354thFG_Rails Posted May 18, 2023 Author Posted May 18, 2023 I am. I’m wanting to know what’s modeled.
Skycat1969 Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Curtiss Electric paddle blade propeller, 13-foot diameter. "The P-47D-25 and later versions were factory mated with the paddle blade propeller. Other models were retro-fitted with the new props. Introduction of the paddle blade prop enabled the thunderbolt amazing climbing and turning ability." 368th FG - Pratt & Whitney R2800 (368thfightergroup.com)
