Running the following

i9900K 5Ghz

32Gb ram

4090 Stock

HP G2

I have noticed resolution degrades over some time.  Faster in openxr 1.3.2 than steam VR. No sharpening which is a big problem and FSAA X4 seems to be the best compromise.  I'm not running the latest because of problems with MSFS 2020.

When you first start to fly you are just fine with no AA issues and when you get near cities and or use your map it starts to degrade drastically.  This is not a problem in other sims such as DCS

With a 4090 I recommend you put the global slider in the SteamVR settings to 200% and see how it looks/behaves. :)

Make sure you are not running dynamic resolution in the game graphics settings.

At anything under "full" this will degrade the resolution by the factor assigned when the game detects FPS dropping under your HMD's nominal rate.

Thank you for the suggestions...

I have tried it both in SteamVR and OpenXR.  They both do the same thing.  And I do not have Dynamic Resolution Factor Enabled in the game.  I will go back and test the suggested Global Settings in Steam VR and see what happens.

It's really strange.  I can get the game to start out and looking really good after I restart the game.  About 5 mins into flying it takes a digger.  I have futs with new drivers etc. but it's a bit of a head scratcher.

It has been a while for me since having a G2 headset, iirc somewhere in the WMR settings there is one for display - quality or performance. Make sure it is on quality rather than performance. Sorry do not remember exactly where that setting is but it should be there somewhere.

This was it... I can't believe this stupid thing was touched. I have not touched it for years but hey man you nailed it.  This thing was killing the game.  Thank you
