looking for a push button sketch for a Arduino Mega R3 2560 Plus board

I bought the wrong Arduino, so I would like to use this Mega R3 2560 Plus board for a button box. I am building a helicopter collective using a Leonardo and am getting to grips with using sketch samples. My Mega board wasnt recognised, as the driver wasnt installed with the Arduino 2.0 IDE so I had to find and install it manually. Is it possible to use this board in a button box? It has lots of digital pins.

In Arduino IDE 1.8.9 this board is listed as "Arduino Mega (Mega 2556)", CPU "ATmega2560 (Mega2560)"

I bought it because it has lots of digital pins and the analogue input is easily identified.

I think real or Chinese, the difference is small. The board is good. Need to try.

Thanks for the info guys.I have installed the driver. After I have sorted the Leonardo sketch and it runs OK for the collective project I will see what I can do with the Mega. I did read that Windows doesnt see the board as a HID compliant game controller so we will see.
