Problems with "Against The Tide" Campaign?

I've flown the first mission of the new Siemens Schuckert DIV collector plane Campaign "Against The Tide" twice now.  We (the bots and I)  got the balloon, I (personally) got all three SPADs and landed successfully both times; second time at our base of departure.

But the mission said I failed and I wasn't allowed to proceed to the next mission.

First time I used automatic fuel mixture settings; second time was with Custom settings where everything was done manually.  Didn't make any difference and I'm not sure what the problem is.

Short of parachuting into the gondola, beating both balloonatics to death with my bare hands, and walking back with their dogtags dangling from my teeth; I'm at a loss for ideas about how to satisfy the mission requirements.

Anyone else flown this new Campaign yet?  If so, how'd it go for you?  ?

PS  Okay, I tried it thrice  This time I led the Fokkers to the Front; flamed the balloon myself; proved I could have out-run those SPADbots but then chose to engage because i knew I could beat them; downed the first two myself; found the Fokkerbots attacking the third one and I finished him off.  Then I RTB and landed while the D7bots were wandering deeper and deeper into enemy territory.  Another beautiful landing.  No damage to the plane.  Not even a mosquito on the windscreen.  Got credited with one balloon and three planes.  But again, the Sim  said I failed to accomplish the mission.

Anybody else seeing anything along these lines?  Whatayagottado to win?

BTW: It would be nice to have some Incendiary Ammo, thanks.  ?

J2 Raker messaged me to say he is having the same problem I am: he's accomplishing the mission objectives but not getting credit for it or being enabled to proceed to the next mission.   So that's two we know of so far.

Anyone else having this problem with the "ATT" Campaign?

You won't like this ...

I took off, and at mostly 8x speed flew to the waypoints.

I encountered the 3 Spads, dived to engage and duffed the engine up.

Chugging along and puffing black smoke, I turned 90 deg towards the balloon and popped it first pass.

The chugging got worse as I dodged the flak and hoped to get to friendly ground..

I made it by about 50M with a baw-hair to spare in altitude, 'chuted out and barely landed safely.

The DVII's fly straight to target ignoring the WP's, so I'm wondering if the player plane flying through them is the difference..

Maybe that means they fixed it?  ?

And 32 minutes for that sortie is fast; it took me one hour following the D7's and 45 minutes when I left them behind to fly the course on my own.  Never thought of going to "warp speed" though.  I used to do that in RB but haven't tried it FC yet.  I tried putting it in "auto level" but it only went into "auto pilot" and started doing its own thing; which wasn't working for me so I went back to manual control.

I've flown ATT three times successfully (I thought)  and been told I failed.  But my bots flew to the WPs.  Don't know what the problem was but it will be a while before i go back and try it again.

I took J2 Raker's advice and started a Career last night; joined J-13 in 1918 to get an SSDIV but they gave me an Alby instead.  Got three SPADs and RTB OK.  I'll be flying that career for a while and hope they give me "Super Sport" before long.

Oh, and when the templates come out, the "Super Sport" is gonna be my alternative skin.  Dark 1969 Chevrolet metallic green with chrome trim (if that's possible) and mag wheels.  I think GooseH can do it.  LOL!

I tried it a fourth time; same thing.  Here's two screengrabs of my results.

Previously, I've followed the Fokkerbots but this time I went ahead and beat them to the balloon; shot it down myself; got two of the three defending SPADs, and successful RTB.  No damage to the plane at all.  And yet, again I failed.

I hear the Dev Team is on hiatus so I'll put the "ATT" Campaign on Hold and check back in a while.  Until then, if you are having problems with the "ATT" Campaign, you can sound-off here.

According to Update 5.103, the ATT Campaign is fixed.

I tried a fifth time; shot down the balloon and all three SPADs, was checking the map on the way back while in VR and flew into the ground.  Mission Failed but I wasn't sure if it was the game glitch or me crashing so I went back and tried it a sixth time.

Got the balloon and one of the SPADs before colliding with another SPAD and bailing out over enemy territory.  For THAT I got a "Mission Accomplished."  LOL!

Flew the second Mission in the ATT Campaign.  Got a DH4 and a Scout; RTB low on ammo and fuel.  "Mission Accomplished."

So I think that means the ATT Campaign is working correctly now.

You never went anywhere remotely close to waypoint 1. There is a reason there are waypoints and a map. That's OK, thanks for reminding me that some people can't or won't follow directions.

As a result of your repeated comments I changed the mission goal to be active from the start instead of requiring you to do as directed by your superior officers! :salute:

Well, all the publicity got me curious, and i like against the tide .. LoL.

That Siemens seems always severely drunk, but i got me a no'mo' flying-fish Dolphin.

This only after about 10 minutes swagging behind it reloading my booze several times while hanging on to its tail .. :
