Bristol M.1 Aircraft

Gentlemen,

 

The Bristol M.1 is a aircraft that I believe should be added even as a collectors aircraft.

 

The Bristol M.1 is a single engine fighter that arrived late to the war.

 

I would like to see the aircraft at least be considered.

Would be an interesting aircraft to model, but since it never saw service on the Western Front, I can't really see it as a priority.

Found this paragraph on some of its operational history.

 

'Perhaps the most successful M.1C pilot amongst those that served on the Macedonian front was Captain Frederick Dudley Travers DFC of No. 150 Squadron RAF, who became the only ace on this type. Travers switched from the Royal Aircraft Factory SE.5a, in which he had scored three of his four kills, and scored the last five of his victories between 2 and 16 September 1918, possibly all in the same M.1C, serial number C4976. One of his victims was a Fokker D.VII, widely regarded as the best German fighter of its day.'

One was apparently sent to France for testing, but it's unclear what it actually did.

Like you Cybermat47 Im an aviation enthusiast, It did see operational time in the East and its middle ground (which I believe it did) see action on the Western Front. Why not add it? You personally dont need to buy it but for the others out there why not?

The solution is simple. All the devs have to do is make a map of the Middle East and the Balkans and presto. Easy.
