Siemens Schuckert dogfight mission

If you have FC2 and the Siemens Schuckert, here's a quicky, AQMB generated, slightly edited, and good fun:

PS it's hard to get a 'kill', dunno why; set al victims to vulnerable, and why i posted this tester.

Also curious about anybody's experiences regarding this Schuckert in action; tips welcome !

To me, it seems like the SS doesn't skid-shoot quite as well as a Dr1 but almost and you can still fly the guns with a sense of fine-tuning, for the most part.

 

I haven't done a speed test against the D7F yet but it seems as fast as I need it to be; maybe faster than the Fokker? 

 

Haven't noticed any problems chasing bombers, Scouts, or SPADs.  In fact, in a close fight she can be too fast and I find myself flying at reduced power; otherwise I overtake the target.

 

Climb performance seems superior to most. 

 

I flew four 16-plane QM skirmishes with Ace Bots in the SS and the Snipe and we wiped them out every time.

 

I would like to fly some duels against a pilot in a Snipe.  If what I'm seeing so far is characteristic, the Sopwith has a serious competitor on its hands.

I like it anyway, but i could not get one kill so far, and sometimes it seems hard to pull out of a fast dive ..

Oops.  I should have phrased my opening sentence better.  I meant to convey that, while the SSD4 doesn't skid quite as well as the triplane, it almost does and comes closer to it than any other plane I've flown in FC.  I wasn't being negative about the SS at all.  I absolutely love how it flies.  Fast; fantastic ROC; rolls quick and with precision; a good gun platform.  Flown with coordination, she flies beautifully. 

 

My biggest problem in transitioning from the Dr1 (and it's really no problem at all) is the SSD4 can be too much; I have to work more to avoid overtaking the target and remaining in position; behind bombers, especially.  But I enjoy  investing the time because this plane is more of what I've been looking for than anything else I've seen yet in FC.  Haven't flown anything else since it came out.  ?
