Koziolek Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 My Ryzen 5800x3d runs very close to 90 deg so I am trying to undervolt it with PBO 2 tuner. It works pretty good, with -20 offset it gets 5-6 deg cooler in Cinebench the problem is I have to put the values manually every time. I tried to add the offsets to target line in the shortcut at the end but it has no effect "C:\Program Files (x86)\PBO2 Tuner for 5800X3D\PBO2 tuner.exe" -20 -20 -20 -20 -20 -20 -20 -20 the patch is correct because it opens the PBO but without offsets Anyone has any idea what I am doing wrong?
shirazjohn Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Hi I don't know which motherboard you are using but a more recent bios release has unlocked most pbo features as per stock Ryzen processors so you can undervolt from the bios which is probably a bit easier. 90 deg seems a bit hot what temps are you getting in Il2 gameplay mine rarely goes above 50 deg but It might hit 70 plus degrees in some benchmarking apps.

I have mine at all core -30 with no issues. I think PBO was unlocked in bios version 4408. Edited April 30, 2023 by shirazjohn
Koziolek Posted April 30, 2023 Author Posted April 30, 2023 thanks for the help I did it from BIOS as you suggested. Nice 88 deg in Cinebench, lower in games I still don't know why the shortcut did not work, but it is just my curiosity only now ? 1
