cripplehawk Posted March 22, 2025 Posted March 22, 2025 Stalingradski Airfield January 23, 1943 Leutnant Steffen Steiner Lands at the last airbase (He 111 G1+JR) the Germans still have after dropping some "Meal Bomb " at the perimeters. The Russians however are less than 2 miles away. He only was on the ground for 10 minutes. He his crew quickly unloaded the limited medical supplies at the tents and took in 7 lucky passenger and quickly flew out.. He however was not the last man to be at the airfield. The last flight landed at 0920 (Michael Deiml's He 111 (G1+CR) and left around 1045 Spoiler 5

cripplehawk Posted April 10, 2025 Posted April 10, 2025 (edited) Feldwebel Adolf Fegelein before Stalingrad (Picture taken in July 1942 just before he left for JG3 Oberleutnant Adolf Fegelein after Stalingrad 77 missions later (Picture taken when he was on leave sometime in March 1943).
