I can tell you that the tail of the P51 it's 19 parts in different orientation and missaligned. So when you have the checker on the stabiliser (which is divided in 3 parts) on the top AND on the underside which have to be aligned and you also have to be aligned between port and starboard side... You loose some hairs in the process....?

And now factor in you´d have to resize the pattern or picture from fin to rudder, and the resize-factor varies all the time...

I won´t give up though, even if it costs me the last remaining few hairs...

The final take off of James Hood. He will sadly lose his life. He was very independent minded. It served him during his Moonshining days. But he was

not a team player, which ended up costing him his life

 

 

Getting hit after his bomb run by the dreaded FW190s

 

Fatal blow. He died north of Alencon France

 

The FW190 that killed him most likely from the 1/JG26.
