Rjel Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 This baby flies sweet. One engine shut down, prop feathered. Full 360 degree turns effortlessly. Both away from and into the dead engine at very low altitude. She lost a little too much airspeed turning into the dead engine so I jammed the throttle forward on my good one. Airspeed came back up enough to complete my turn. This is going to be a fun bird to fly. 7

Gingerwelsh Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Oh dear, what a dilemma. Spitfire or Mosquito? Hmmm, she looks racey. Long slender body, Tight little tail, cute round nose, but most of all, a pair of big pert nacelles jutting forward. My kinda gal! .. 3 2
ROCKET_KNUT Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Hans: "Did I really just got shot down by that pile of rotted wood you guys call "Mossie"??? James: "Yeah, I was fiddeling with the seat adjustment... Must have touched the wrong switch. Feeling really sorry." Hans: "Fiddeling with what??? You mean your a/c are fitted with such luxurious options?" James: "Options? No, they come as standard. Items such as windscreenwipers are optional. You´ve got those as well?" Hans: " I hate you soooo much!!!" 1 5
Gingerwelsh Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 March 1945, 41 Squadron. First time I ever ran out of fuel. First time I ever shot down an enemy after running out of fuel. First time I ever jumped out of a perfectly good airplane, over a perfectly good airfield, after running out of fuel. Down to 100 mph and my last 50 cals. He went in! Time to bale out. Oh no! I should have looked out the window. Next mission, next day. 2nd time I ran out of fuel. 2nd time I shot a plane down, (190 D9), after running out of fuel. Well I thought it was amazing anyway. .. 5 1
