Modelled gun

Anyone seeing what kind of gun and how detailed it is. 
came over it and will buy it if good enough.

FLAK 18?

First I told myself it was not a 88

got stuck with it 

Ofcourse it is. That metal gun suits perfectly with my die cast aeroplanes

not an expert but my dim brain said the Flak 18 had a single piece barrel whilst the 36 had a two piece barrel plus a lot of aiming mechanism changes. I think though there was a lot of interchangability.

 

EDIT - After some considerable reasearch (i googled Flak 18 and hit the wiki page) the IWM Flak36 is fitted with a Flak 18 type barrel or perhaps is a Flak 18 fitted with the aiming ststem improvements of the 36....

 

I was a bit taken back to realise these fabled WW2 guns traced their conception back to 1917.
