Throttle control on Thrustmaster TCA Sidekick Airbus Edition

Hi,

Still fairly new to the game but decided to upgrade my stick to get a more immersive experience. Anyway, I am now find that I am unable to get the throttle control slider to work in game. In key mapping when I slide the throttle control it recognises Joy_b16 for both fully on and fully off, but in game sliding the throttle does nothing. There is no conflict with this key binding and in the TM calibrations software the slider full motion is clearly being picked up.

Any advice greatfully received and TIA

This (virtual) button B16 (button 17 in the joystick)* is set in the first ~20% of throttle axis course, just bellow the detent position.

*IL-2 game start count buttons from 0 so the throttle B17 is B16 in game GUI.

Try this:

Move the throttle a bit - just after the detent, for bypass the area where the B16 is pressed, then open the assignment window and move the throttle axis all the way for see if is assigned.

Other option is leave assigned to B16 (button 16), go to Controls folder, edit the file current.action replacing B16 with throttle axes name - you need know previously what is the name of the axis.

You can choose two modes of throttle operation, see this manual:

Has anyone managed to get the throttle working? I bought FCIII last night and cannot get my Throttle recognised as an axis. Settings always comes up as button 16 and it does not work in the game. I tried the Thrustmaster manual instruction of holding down the 6 and 12 buttons then connecting it to the computer but it makes no difference. Strangely enough it works fine in ROF, WOFF and MSFS. Windows calibration shows it working fine as well.

I now have it working. I just unplugged and plugged the thing in a couple of times, fired up my game and it works as it should! :(
