It is another possibility for a three crew design in French service (if someone felt a need to give them something like the Handley-Page or Gotha)! Along with the Vendôme, I would welcome this fine machine .... and other Italian crates (seaplanes) with an Italian map including the Adriatic Sea. Of course this suggestion is merely exploring possible gaps and their gameplay implications for completely academic purposes .... 1
Gewehr98 Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 The Imperial War Museum has some original Royal Aircraft Factory blueprints. I only see the BE2a but I'll keep looking. 1
Gewehr98 Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 And here's a Caudron G.IV with a 75mm cannon
czech693 Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 (edited) Where are they hiding the 75mm cannon? I think that translates to loading 75 shells, not 75mm cannon shells. That round is probably a motar round as they didn't have aerial bombs early in the war and dropped motar shells and grenades. Although, I'd be suprised if that Cauldron could lift 75 motar shells. Enceladus828 Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 I really hope we do get a Caudron G.4 and B.E.2c or Central Powers two-seater not in Rise of Flight as we’re getting 6 planes in FC4, compared to 7.5 and 10 planes in the previous FC installments. The Eindecker, DH.2 and Roland C.II are some of my favourite WW1 planes so getting them along with the planes mentioned above would be sweet. 1

A bit smaller though
Avimimus Posted November 29, 2023 Author Posted November 29, 2023 Yes, I believe the Voisin V LBP, Voisin IV, Voisin VIII, and Voisin X all carried cannons (or had subvariants which carried a cannon), as did the similar Bréguet Bre.5 Ca.2 and Bre.12 Ca.2 night fighters. Some of the later Voisins were even equipped with 47mm cannons! The steel construction probably helped! That said there were also a couple of conversions of the F.E.2 which carried cannons. It'd be fun to have (I lean towards the Voisin VIII/X because it could also carry a defensive machinegun). I wonder if the Bre.12 was ever equipped with canister shot?
