CraigNT55 Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 (edited) Hey Everybody, I've been skinning in IL2 FG for several years now and have gotten adept at the Alpha Channel situation where I use Photoshop to create the layers and GIMP to change the Alpha Channel. Recently I purchased a new desktop PC and had to switch over to Windows 11. Every since then all my skins are not honoring the Alpha Channel which has the various grey scale polygons that assign the amount of gloss and matte finish. Iv'e done the exact same process as before but the only change is Windows 11. Has anyone else experienced this? And is there a solution? Thanks in advance for any suggestions and answers! Kind regards, - CraigNT55 Edited April 7, 2023 by CraigNT55 Spelling
Raptorattacker Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Not experienced any of that myself, but then I've been on Win 11 for a while now. Maybe if you put down some of your specs, graphic software etc then someone may have a solution to your problem... Rap ?
CraigNT55 Posted April 8, 2023 Author Posted April 8, 2023 Thanks Rap for the reply! Here's a sample of what I'm referring to. All processes were the same, just the Operating System was changed to Windows 11.
jollyjack Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Can it be that it's your GPU and different drivers maybe? Maybe ask around on a Gimp forum, if your alpha is created there. Maybe set the allover alpha grayness slightly darker?
