Dumah666 Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 (edited) I built a joystick and rudder myself and can't get my rudder to work. I can calibrate the joystick without any problems. only with the rudder and brake potentiometers does IL2 not evaluate any potentiometer values. Both the joystick and rudder are connected to a LeoBodnar BU0863 joystick controller. I only connected the joystick, mouse and keyboard. Edited April 7, 2023 by Dumah666
Dumah666 Posted April 10, 2023 Author Posted April 10, 2023 Ok, I found out! I only use about 50% potentiometer travel in my rudder and 80% in the brake potentiometers! IL2 does not recognise the short potentiometer travels!
Sokol1 Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 By using only part of the potentiometer "effective electric angle" - what in ordinay comercial models is 270º or more; you are reducing the resolution of the USB controller, not issue for brake axes, but for rudder is desirable use all resolution possible. This Bi-Tech 6127 Hall Sensor has 60º of effective electric angle, what is more than a rudder pedal angular movement, but more close than ordinary potentiometer.
