fogpipe Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 Never used rudder pedals before so i dont want to spend a lot then find out they arent something i will use. Are the Logitech G Flight any good? Durable enough to last a year of moderate use? Thanks
SCG_Tzigy Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 (edited) Had a pair for several years, no issues. Gave to a friend when i got my MFGs. Used 2-6hrs/week Edited March 25, 2023 by SCG_Tzigy 1
[CPT]Crunch Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Originally they were Siatek's design, than sold to Madcats who marketed them for a while, have a set of ancient original Siatek pedals still in good working condition but don't use them currently, will keep them as a backup though. The originals had better build quality and ran about 1/3 the price, outrageous what Logitech gets. Really nothing to the internals, just injection molded plastic, fairly good design and smooth for all plastic, great toe brakes. Used them for many years, at least twenty or so, so simple if they break you can generally repair them yourself. Had one of the plastic hook mounts for a spring break off and fail, opened it up and put an eye screw into the post, reconnected the internal main spring, good as new, .50 cent repair. Never experienced any spiking or pot troubles, they're not in the same class as steel virpils or crosswinds for precise control, but they are good, very useful and effective in combat. I never used shoes when using them like I can with virpils, needed on solid cold steel. Have size 12 feet, they have plenty of room and were wide enough with spacing for full grown adults, unlike the thrustmasters, overall not bad except for the price, that's just nuts. Think I paid around sixty some bucks originally when Siatek initially released them. 1
Guest Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 I had them and they jammed at full deflection a few times, which necessitated removing the base-plate to fix. I think it's about 1 gazillion screws holding that on (I'm exaggerating but not much). 1 1
jollyjack Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Have a saitek branded, looks the same, got someone who favors the trustmaster TPR, but that's quite expensive. 1
kestrel79 Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 The cheap under $100 Thrustmaster set is very good for the price. Had mine for almost 5 years now still slide pretty good. Way better than the old CH pedals I used to have.
easterling77 Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 (edited) I also used the TM TFRP rudder pedals for about 3 years. They did their job well but I never liked the narrow spacing - so I went on to the MFG Crosswind pedals which I can recommend without any complainment but ok - they are quite over the 100 Bucks-range^^. Nontheless I stored my old TM pedals in the basement because they are still fine. So to sum up I would recommend to start in the low price section to see if this kind of gear fits your expactations wihtout risking to much money. Edited March 29, 2023 by easterling77
