TheBlackPenguin Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 This looks very interesting, WW2 naval based sandbox RTS game: http://www.victoryatseagame.com/ I don't know it reminds me somewhat of Pirates! and destroyer command.
Feathered_IV Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Leitmotiv will love this. Actually, so will I!
Finkeren Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Raaaid: The dazzle camouflage was a relic of WW1 and seldom used in WW2.

=LD=Hethwill Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Al'right, seems good enough to be a Fighting Steel successor. Have to check the carriers mechanics
MiloMorai Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Really? How come? They seem pretty effective for my eyes. To much upkeep. The sea is hard on paint. For examples see Canadian corvettes. You should like this one, American BB from WW1 1

eviltwinartworks Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 This looks very interesting, WW2 naval based sandbox RTS game: http://www.victoryatseagame.com/ I don't know it reminds me somewhat of Pirates! and destroyer command. Leitmotiv will love this. Actually, so will I! Thanks! for the enthusiasm! I made the Victory At Sea game (well, there's a team of 5 of us). And yes you got me! Yes we did have some Pirates! influences in there . Al'right, seems good enough to be a Fighting Steel successor. Have to check the carriers mechanics Thanks yeah the mechanics for the carriers are similar to firing other weapons. You can get fighters to defend your fleet or send of the different bombers to attack specific ships. As it's real time (you can pause and also slow the game down to a crawl as well, but it isn't turn based) it was difficult to control planes specifically so once you give them targets and send them off they tend to do their own thing until they are recalled or shot down
TheBlackPenguin Posted July 29, 2014 Author Posted July 29, 2014 Only a team of 5? Looks pretty impressive from what I have seen from such a small group .
