Can you tell IL-2 GB to start with a specific keymap profile active?

I have created a special/separate profile for my Flying Circus controller setup since it's different and so much simpler for the WWI birds than the WWII ones.  However, when I start the game it seems to default to the global profile all or most of the time, and sometimes I forget to go change it back until after I've already tried to fly a mission with borked controls.

Is there some way to use a command line entry on the shortcut or maybe in the startup.cfg file or otherwise to tell the game to start with a particular profile activated, or is it always going to start with the default/global one?

You can/should be able to assign an FC-specific setup to the planes you want it assigned to; otherwise, it's going to default to the global profile if the plane in question isn't assigned to a custom profile.

Hmm - I've created a separate profile, but I haven't specifically assigned it to any particular plane (and I didn't really see any way to do that in the keymap/settings screen).  I've just been selecting it from the drop down of profiles along the top on that screen.   How does one go about assigning the profile to specific planes?

On the key assignment page, there's a button at the bottom-right that'll take you to the page where you can assign planes to a given profile.

Cool - thanks - I'll give that a try.

When did that become possible?  Must have missed that whole thing while I've been away/distracted for the last couple of years.  That's very cool!

I think it was late last year, so definitely a more recent change - and a very welcome one at that!

Just to add to the above, when you create a "new" profile, it starts with the profile that you're looking at. This is handy for creating profiles for relatively similar aircraft.... but different enough to have a different profile.
