No Spring sales... nor for Blitz nor for Tobruk?

EDIT: We finally have sales for "Blitz" and "Tobruk" (50% off) and even for the bundle that binds both (55% off):

https://store.steampowered.com/app/754530/IL2_Sturmovik_Cliffs_of_Dover_Blitz_Edition/

My original post as it was until the 16th of March:

1CGS just launched the "Great Battles" Spring sales but, apparently, there aren't yet Spring sales for the Dover series' games:

Not yet? :)

I'll use the tried and tested SWAG method and try and work out why... Maybe it's because they have nothing to do with Great Battles?

The Dover series has something to do with the "Great Battles" series: both games are sold under the "IL-2 Sturmovik" brand. Anyway, when it comes to talk about sales and discounts, this is not a sufficient reason to find that one game's sales should apply to the other, mainly because, regardless of the brand, they belong to different companies (1CGS and Fulqrum, respectively). In my understanding, the two reasons why there should be the same period of sales for both games are 1) the yearly tradition of sales that has been established for each, even separately, and 2) both are on Steam and Steam applies sales to each game when the purchase is done on Steam so... why Fulqrum would be wronging buyers who don't want to purchase the Dover series games on Steam?

Maybe it's because they are sold through Steam. And it always, for as long as I can remember, take longer to get the sales going in steam.

Be patient and have a nice day.

That would be like Intermarche advertising a carrefour sale...

Or Intermarche having a sale on baguettes because Carrefour are.

Ie, utterly stupid.

Reddog, til now, all the sales, both for IL2GB and IL2CoD, always have been available on Steam AND on the official distributors' websites: il2sturmovik.com for IL2GB and fulqrumpublishingstore.com for IL2CoD. The situation right now is that the Spring sales are available for IL2GB on il2sturmovik.com but not yet on the Steam online store. Regarding IL2CoD, they aren't even available on the Fulqrum website. So, just as others said above, let's wait until Steam unveils those Spring sales and we'll see if whether or not they appear on the Fulqrum online store too.

Cheerio... ;)

Two small problems, Up till now, there haven't been any sales that fulqrum could have participated in selling, as it didn't own the title at the time of said sale. The second being that a title being on sale isn't down to some random choice or a historical "it's always been on sale". It's down to the owner CLOD and Sand CLOD isn't on sale on steam.

As for the "aren't even available" comment, that's so blatantly wrong I'll help you out and post the links here for you.

As you can see, it's not on sale there either. One can infer therefore that it's NOT ON SALE

Reddog, the sales periods for both Blitz and Tobruk have been perfectly applied during the last "Autumn sales" and "Winter wales" in 2022 by the Fulqrum website on those very same URLS you just brought above (plus this one). Both sales periods (Autumn of 2022 and Winter of 2022) were announced here on this IL-2 forum just like I announced them myself on the French-language forum "Checksix". For many years, before the Autumn of 2022, at least three places in the internet applied the traditional sales periods for Blitz and Tobruk: 1) il2sturmovik.com, 2) Steam and 3) 1C Entertainment. Those two latter are the two that, still now, daily sell Blitz and Tobruk... il2sturmovik.com being the only one, out of the three, that no longer sells them. It simply happens that, as you know , il2sturmovik.com stopped selling them by the Summer of 2022 and that 1C Entertainment changed its name to Fulqrum, but 1C Entertainment, even before it changed its name to Fulqrum, always applied the sales. So the point is, why those sales are not being applied neither on Steam nor on the Fulqrum website? The Great Battles products show discounts on il2sturmovik.com, but not yet on Steam.

Cheerio...

Don't worry, the devs

will chime in and let us know that there is going to be a sale. And everything will be good.

Thank to Dagwoodyt (this post) I just learned that the sales for "Blitz" and "Tobruk" started today on Steam. The Fulqrum website though still shows the full price for both "Dover series" games.

EDIT : the link to the sales page, as follows https://store.steampowered.com/app/754530/IL2_Sturmovik_Cliffs_of_Dover_Blitz_Edition/

But still no sales on the Fulqrum website... pity, because I don't like to purchase on Steam. For my purchases I always preferred the websites (il2sturmovik.com or fulqrumpublishingstore.com).
