Because they haven't got anybody involved in running PR, or anybody who at least cares about running PR.

I mentioned a while back, when I created the TFS FB page and generated around 3.5K follower and after I left it increased to 4.7k followers.....and the last update they placed on that page was on January 8th! What an absolute waste of guaranteed publicity!

 

 

and the Youtube page, again....4-months since anything was posted!!!!

 

 

 

 

Ultimately, it's embarrassing the apathy they have shown in keeping their customers updated.

 So now we are entering into the realm of, they have my money and I have nothing to show for it.  I learned the definition of that in the Police academy, but I'll bite my tongue lest I be labeled a hateful individual. Figure in the lack of communication and what do we have?

I believe the VR implementation commitment was added on May 29, 2021

I may be mistaken, but I don't see Speedtree mentioned.

There was a demo of VR shown long before the announcement. I cannot locate it at the moment but there was a tech demo shown. So VR was shown way before it was then mentioned to be included with that update ?

Really, how hard is it to come here and address what is being said above and in other threads. Particularly stuff that is well known and visible in the videos already posted and in posts on this forums already made (by me on the videos, for example). 

 

Nope, let someone in the community or a beta tester take all the fire from everyone pissed at the current situation. Which is pathetic at least.

They're all playing the secret VR version of Cliffs, obviously, with full SPEEDTREE integration and SMARTSKY technology. There are hundreds of AI (PATENT PENDING) to shoot at and full servers every weekend when they all get together for a bloody good bash and jolly. Buzzsaw stamps them in and out with his DIGITAL AUTHENTICATOR; have to make sure you have the correct VR HEADSET for VR CLIFFS OF DOVER THE TOBRUKENING!

 

Lmao. Cliffs and TF are a complete joke now, it's the end.

Last word (rumor?) was that VR beta was going to be opened to all who have VR, surprise included. I asked if they required a new request sent in for approval, as with the first time it was rumored to be re-opened (IE a picture of your VR headset to prove you have one). Nothing more was heard.

Yes, my last paragraph was in reference to the arrow. That sentence was what triggered my last question on the topic, somewhere lost in the ether, do I need to show a pic. of my headset like when it was first announced they were going to let more testers in. No reply was forthcoming.

 

Something catastrophic must be happening behind the scenes that they don't show up and tell someone like me to shut up. Bad publicity all this, and no, not any publicity is good publicity type of publicity. 

Steam has a button asking if you'd recommend this game to anyone. I wonder how many have clicked on one or the other? Click no and you might be cutting off your nose to spite your face, no new cash flow and no progress with getting VR. Clicking yes would mean I lied. Unless it's someone I dislike.

 

 BUT, it may be that they mean this game to be regressive, back to the hat trick for the sight seer.

 

 In my youth I was told it was bad manners to ignore someone when they were talking you. OK so I brought Eloise into the conversation, it's all one sided anyway. Just allowing my musing to take me where ever.

 

 Or do we  eulogize this topic and lay it to rest, a fitting metaphor for the notion of VR in ClOD.

 OR, as my mother was found of saying, KEEP IT UP YOUNG MAN.?

At this point there are not a lot of new elements being introduced to the VR Beta.

And I am very busy with some critical Team Fusion business details... as well as an upcoming announcement.

So we are not taking new applicants to join the VR Beta.

Once things stabilize a bit, and we have new elements to test, we will be posting an invitation for people to join the Beta.

It might be that the Team has received unwelcome news relative to the future of Blitz that has taken the wind out of their sails such that they lack incentive to interact with customers. If that were the case folks on periphery of the Team might also be unaware and unable to help.

Considering BoN was just released it's very disingenuous to sugest the GB Dev's have been ghosting the community for the last 6 months.

There are all kinds of updates from the Dev's AND a roadmap. FC2 was just released, 5.101 major update as well. BoN released not long ago, FC3 announced...

GB Devs plate has been full for some time now and looks to be full for another year.

That is updates on the current version,  TFS have already said that they cannot announce v6 until whoever owns them agrees....and a year later that situation remains the same. What it doesn't stop them doing is updating the community on the status of the VR, Truesky, Graphics update...without using the words similar to "would like", "we hope", etc, etc.

 

In regards to it not being a recognised community hangout, well,  with so few members of the community left, TFS should be bending over backwards to engage with anyone left, rather than sticking their heads in the ground and avoiding places they feel uncomfortable showing up at, in case they get asked a question that isn't about the next 'big' multiplayer event.

 

I mean what's the point in keep announcing multilayer events, when due to lack of engagement and apathy from TFS, no-one is around to read about them?

So they update their old mates' forum that has no link to the actual product (yes I know the history) and so continue to look like the amateurs that they started off as and not, in any way, like a professional developer with a product to sell. ATAG is the kiss of death for ongoing development of CLOD.
