simfan2015 Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 FWIW. Get a PS VR2 headset for ... WWII PTO ASAP ! ? ...
Trooper117 Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 It's still War Thunder graphics and 'simcade' game play without the grind...
simfan2015 Posted March 10, 2023 Author Posted March 10, 2023 (edited) Indeed Trooper117, but I do remember quite a number of people referring to Gaiijin titles on PC and PS3 where you had carrier battles in PTO ! If the PTO and carriers is of utmost important to those players/simmers then maybe Gaiijn will again be there 'sooner' than even ED with DCS, regardless of Arcade or Sim modes. itsmecamille Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 I still remember their games on PS3 - no thanks. I don't count that as covering the PTO

sevenless Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 It is mass market. Products of niche developers are hard to be compared to that. It is a good development though. All will benefit from that. The more people get interested in the genre in general the more customers for everyone and the higher the likelihood the niche market developers can survive. 1 2
simfan2015 Posted March 10, 2023 Author Posted March 10, 2023 Since WT on PC is already VR capable they strike Gold simply because development time for this PS VR2 title will prove far less than starting from scratch. 7 minutes ago, sevenless said: mass market. Indeed, even if the PS VR2 probably won't sell as much as similar titles on a quest 2 it will probably be very successfull.
[CPT]Crunch Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Fat chance unless I can plug all six of my controlling devises in plus my current HMD, and run comms apps to boot.
simfan2015 Posted March 10, 2023 Author Posted March 10, 2023 This title being aimed at phew-phew-phew youngsters bringing it also to the PS5 (VR2) makes a lot of sense. The VR2 HMD itself is -reportedly- still a far cry from the headset most people here would consider mind-blowing !
