Youtch Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Dear all, I am very recent in this subforum and I have not explored much the creation of mission, beyond retouching some missions captured in SP or missions prepared by others more talented than I am, and applying only minor touches. I was wondering the other day how difficult it would be to make a museum of planes on the ground, putting as many WWII possible plane static on the ground on display, to visit with free view and get hence a better sense of size comparison. Do you know if anyone has ever had a similar idea in the past? Is there is any easy way to put a lot of planes on the ground, immobile but with the same level of details than piloted model and skins as piloted plane? Many thanks in advance, y.
Jaegermeister Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 That would be pretty easy. You just have to place them on the ground where you like and make them a linked entity. Then make one a player aircraft or vehicle and you can skip from one to the next with the outside view keys. If you get crazy, you could place a hangar or other buildings to put them in so they aren’t out in the elements with open cockpits, lol. 1
Youtch Posted March 9, 2023 Author Posted March 9, 2023 May i ask why we need to make them linked entity?
DD_Friar Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 So they show in the mission. Remember to make them the same allegiance otherwise rear gunners might start duelling! 1
Youtch Posted March 9, 2023 Author Posted March 9, 2023 Thanks. I already started playing with it. Any idea on how to get these planes with canopy closed and no pilot/gunners?

Youtch Posted March 9, 2023 Author Posted March 9, 2023 The plane model we see on airfield and that are objective for bombing are made of low res models?
Youtch Posted March 9, 2023 Author Posted March 9, 2023 Museum.zipHere it goes as first attempt. I still need to figure out how to slow donw free camera forward/backward and left/right sides movements.
