Irishratticus72 Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 (edited) Shame, if it had a a few more quid thrown at it, it could be decent....... Edited March 5, 2023 by Irishratticus72 2 1
ST_Catchov Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 I'm waiting for 'The Shamrock Se5a - the story of George E.H. McElroy'.
Montana_*VR* Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Looks like they took the flight model of war thunder as a reference... So sad, it's just a low budget production. That plot in a "Dunkirk" quality like production would be my favorite movie for sure! 1

Gambit21 Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 If you guys want some good Spit footage, Doyle’s War. Not a bad show either.
Missionbug Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 I think this will certainly be worth a watch, nice to see someone giving some love to often neglected heroes of the skies. To my mind too few avaiation enthusiasts just go and watch without all the baggage of their lifetime of aviation and what is right and wrong with effects and such, not all films and series are produced by big budget Hollywood film empires, and even if they are, please just go take in the story and get immersed in that and you might find you actually enjoy it even if it is a long way from perfect in how it portrays aviation in general and the CGI is not the best. I have to admit being very wary of actually watching many things but once into it I quite enjoyed the experience and tried to put other things out of mind so to speak, many just look for what is wrong and do not take in the story itself which is after all is the important thing. Okay, just fell off the soapbox, ouch. Take care and be safe. Wishing you all the very best, Pete. 2
DBFlyguy Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 It looks to be an interesting bit of history, just wish the production value was... better. I never understood why so many extremely high caliber talented creatives (Christopher Nolan, Ridley Scott, Sam Mendes, Danny Boyle, Guy Ritchie....) in the UK haven't bothered telling more stories from this era? Nolan did do Dunkirk and Ritchie has a very fictionalized story of the SOE coming: But I'm honestly surprised that rumored "Dambusters" remake or thousands of other worthy WWII era stories aren't/haven't yet been made by UK production teams
