Stumbled across this while trying to research low price alternatives that do not include meta.

Maybe this manufacturer would listen to what flight simmers need want re Display port, fov etc etc. Might be worth a suggestion?

Found this on reddit.

Buy the Rokid Air 1080p AR glasses (they’re better than the Nreal Airs). They use DisplayPort-over-USB, so ensure your USB-C ports & graphics card support it, or get an HDMI adaptor (you can buy the glasses bundled with an adaptor, if you need it).

Buy a webcam.

Set up OpenTrack/AITrack to use the webcam; calibrate it while wearing the Rokid Air glasses.

Voila — low-cost 1080p ‘VR Lite’ via head-tracking combined with lightweight AR glasses!

That’s all you need for DCS & other first-person flight/space sims. And you can even use it on modern AMD 6800U-based handheld gaming systems like the GPD Win Max 2, the GPD Win Max 4, the Aokzoe A1, & the OneXPlayer 2. Combine this method with Tuuvas’ DCS controller tutorial on YouTube for a decent mobile ‘VR Lite’ experience.

It should work on the Steam Deck, too, albeit with a bit less horsepower than the handhelds listed above."

43 degree FOV in VR mode says not yet, not this.
