Difficulties

Hello,

 

I wanted to play a WW2 airplane game and found IL2 as the best option and the youtube videos, reviews etc everything was telling that its a great game. Indeed its great but until I can play it !

When I run the game I was trying to find the tutorial menu but unfortunately I realized that its missing in the game. To be able to play the game with more “feeling” I bought extreme pro 3d joystick. Well I used to play combat flight simulator back in days. I thought that I will have a similar experience. But I did not !!! as the sensitivity of the joystick was awful and I could not find a solution to it even though watching many videos. So I need advice terribly on the following;

 

- extreme 3d setup for a smooth plane control

- tutorial on take off, landing and shooting down targets by keeping them on target for the Battle of Stalingrad version of the game

 

Currently I cant do right /left maneuver properly while taxiing i.e cannot hold the plane on the lane

and I can not shoot down enemy plane as the plane/joystick super unstable or lets say super sensitive. The videos I was watching so far were super stable planes and nice aiming capability, no sensitivity issues no aiming problems. So I’m thinking whats wrong with my setup???

and my humble advice to the developers is that please create a step by step tutorial in the game menu for the beginners otherwise its becoming a time consuming game !! I spent hours to realize how to take off for instance and still I’m far away from being competent to have a smooth take off.  I dont understand why you did not include it in the game?!?

The excellent Col. Ninny was a longtime user a Logitech 3d Pro joystick and had a post or video of his set up and key binds.

Look at the sensitivity adjustment (curves) in the settings menu, you’ll want to add a degree of curve especially in the pitch axis. Otherwise, yes you’ll find the aircraft overly sensitive.
