What does improved AI mean? Hopefully it’s more realistic. My wingman was an AI 109 who was spinning with his wingtips centimeters above the waves. His incredible acrobatics that were impressive but highly unlikely.

That would be nice to know. 

Ai has always been the single greatest disappointment for Single Players and it would be great to see what is actually changing, as you say, the Red Bull acrobatics of the Ai pilots as they spiral to their deaths is a treat to behold. I bet WW2 pilots wished their adversaries were so incompetent.

So it's clear that I feel rightly cheated by TF. They received money and did not deliver the advertised service (VR access). 

 

@Buzzsaw, knowing this, it would be time to either release the promised VR beta or give your money back to the people who bought the game based on your false promises!

Funding servers has never been a Clodders strongpoint. Even back in the days of 80 players a night on Atag the quote was barely met. Always surprised me to see how few Atag-ers were on the list for their own server but I dont know what went on behind the scenes payment wise.

Oh dear. Over on the ATAG forum there is an opportunity to donate; to keep the ATAG server online.

Each month they just about scrape up enough donations to meet their funding target.

The strange thing is that the ATAG server itself is as dead as a door nail unless there’s an ‘event’ organised on a weekend evening.

The CLoD online presence is kept alive almost solely by the TWC campaign server and yet there is no way on the ATAG forum to donate to this server.

 

Such is the size of the CLoD online community these days, it seems doubtful if there are enough donees or donations to fund two servers so it seems it’s going to be a case of one or the other….

Like many others I exclusively fly in VR. I own basically all of GB and DCS warbirds. The COD engine does things that neither of those games even come close to. But I have an hour of play time on it because no VR. I bought blitz knowing I’d be waiting for the Vr release, just didn't think it’d be this long. When it comes out I’ll happily play, but it is getting frustrating…

Ok, I'd like to don't do the mockery now, but I can't.

1. He sees many people on the server, weird, every time I look it's less than 10. One event max ~35. But hey, there should also be people who in the world that see dead people
2. Could it be because TF minimized the community so successfully (due to lack of communication and unkept promises)?
3. Why should I donate, as I've said several times, I bought CLOD+DLC and haven't received beta access to this day, so I think this donation was already generous enough.

 

Or are these just the preparations for which TF can claim that they cannot continue to work due to a lack of financial resources and therefore cannot deliver the promised update?

Think your got your facts a little mixed up here:

 

1) 10 is still five times more than donated in two months If your 35 donated once evey month its would be nothing more than a 3 or 4 dollar a month each. If your 10 donated each month it would only be $9.60 a month each. 

 

2) TWC isnt TFS. That you paid for something on a false promise of joining some closed shop VR boys club is irrelevent here. 

 

3) The donation keeps a server running that a private individual has put up. In the absence of anything else the TWC server and the work put into by Fatal and his collegues was the only thing left online for the title running daily. Its possibly something that ATAG/TFS should recognise and assist with (publicity, links etc) but TBH the speed of both make tectonic movment look like a Benny Hill chase scene. 

 

Ive not played Clod or gone online for years but Flug did some really good stuff with the server mechanics.

I've worked in many public facing industries and this level of Comms is nonsense, how'd you kill a brand? stop talking about it and silence the people who hang around to complain. I'm surprised that this thread has been left up considering how much obvious irritation towards TFS is expressed here, To TFS I say straighten up and fly right! you may still be able to save this!!!!

Apparently the first quarter of 2023 was lost to learning to shoulder added TFS' responsibilities. I don't expect there will be much of an update until sometime this Summer. That update might even inform that newer added responsibilities or unexpected problems with trueSKY or Speedtree have further slowed Visual Update progress. At this point I think it is better to expect more obstacles to impede progress and be pleasantly surprised if there is real progress reported. TBH though the only progress that is meaningful is that of customers actually being able to experience Blitz in VR. Positive reports from beta testers are meaningless at this late date.
