Recording write-outs result in game stutter

In an attempt to reduce wear to my SSD where IL-2 is installed, I made a symbolic link for the Tracks folder to a folder on a hard disk. This exposed a very noticable issue where there was a repeating stutter every so often in the game as the recording data is written out to the hard disk. This is noticable even in free flight with a single aircraft. It seems that whatever process is in charge of writing out the data is blocking other processes from continuing, when it should not.

Edit - I moved the symbolic link to a SATA SSD that, while not as fast as NVME, should be plenty fast enough for this purpose. The stutter was reduced but still present. I'm not sure if the symoblic link itself is the issue, but either way this write-out is being mismanaged.

Hey there, I’m experiencing this stuttering problem since I first launched the game. It is installed on the same NVME since then, even if I reinstalled, cleaned, optimised it several time in attempt to solve the problem. I thought about tons of probable causes (too old GPU, motherboard BIOS not up to date, etc.) but reading your post I wonder if it’s not my NVME SSD that is simply not working properly … Weird is that I have no problem with any other app/game …

I should maybe try to install the game on my HDD and see if it works better. In that case, I could diagnostic my SSD as the source of the issue.
