P-39 is a no-brainer, as that was the VVS fighter in the IL-2 demo.  Inconceivable that there aren't already plans to have it in the next list of A/C.

Both of those warbids are welcome on the East front...even if I like a lot the Airacobra...with a nose gun of 20 or 37mm, it does matter !

Basically, the FM of every plane should be as close to historical figures as posible, end of story.

 

BoS will be a flight sim first and foremost, not a "game" in the sense, that it's all about winning. In RoF many of the most exhillerating online dogfights I have been in, I lost, yet they're just as memorable as some of my best victories. "Balance" is simply not an issue, except if it involves inaccuracies in the FM (as is the case with some aircraft in RoF being too fast, while others are too slow).

 

Sure the LaGG is going to be an underdog, but that's part of the experience. The challenge it offers to crack pilots could well prove to be a massive aid to the VVS side - In RoF I've seen pilots flying planes like the Halberstadt D.II with great success against late war Entente scouts (a matchup much more lopsided, than the LaGG-3 vs Bf 109 is going to be).

 

In any case, I can see one big equalizer from the VVS perspective: It will generally be flown by players who know the plane well and how to use it to its full potential, a luxury the real VVS pilots of 1942 didn't have.

 

 

"balanced"  scenarios can  be easily  achieved   changing the ammount of planes on each side (different number of slots in multiplayer). No need to  touch the planes themselves.

Seeing that this is a Russian based game with VVS and axis planes highlighting the game

maybe we can have the lend-lease aircraft entering the game later on.

 

The Kuban bridgehead and air war had most of the biggest air battles of the war and would

a good choice  for a first Russian add-on in this Russian based game.

 

I hope they put in the Spitfire MK Vb flown by 57 GIAP  if they make it not just the U.S. planes.
