334th_L0C0 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 (edited) Please someone tell me if the skins that we've spent hours on painting for ClOD will be compatable with BOS... And please say yes... I used to skin and build missions in IL2:46.... CloD stopped me from building missions... Will BOS stop me from painting skins? Edited December 12, 2012 by JG26EZ

It's only possible, if they will use the exactly same 3D model with the exactly same UV layout... I doubt it... There is a solution, if you familiar with Photoshop, you can record a script (action) to cut and move the parts to the new position/size. It's hard, but you have to make only once (with every type), then only one click the convertion... but I bet, you will paint them again Edited December 12, 2012 by VO101_Tom
334th_L0C0 Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 Yeah, but with a "proposed release date" of 2014? Damn is all I can say. I have no desire to open up paintshop now. All I can do now is pray.

I can't see any aircraft being shared at this point so it probably wouldn't matter anyways. Ju87 and Bf109E maybe... but it would both have been from later series than included in Cliffs of Dover. Assuming any 3D models are shared.
kristorf Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I doubt it mate, and the RoF format for skins is nothing as simple as CLoD or IL2
