I need a good illustration of the Spit Mk. IX reflector sight, preferably from a 1940s manual...

Not from a 40's manual but a good picture nevertheless.

Meanwhile, back at the Ranch, a 1943 document...

Thanks! - Good stuff, though not exactly what I was looking for.

If anyone else has something...

In that case I would re-word your request.
"illustration of the Spit Mk. IX reflector sight, preferably from a 1940s manual...", is pretty much mission accomplished. It's an illustration of an RAF Mk. 2 gunsight, which were used (amongst many others) on the Mk. IX Spitfire and it's from a 1943 publication...

It is definitely a good illustration , that one from Flight Magazine, "good stuff" as I wrote, so thanks again.
