Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows if ther is a way to change/modify the tracer effects?

I haven't played CLoD for a while and will.probabky get back into it when the visual updates ate relased... but I remember the tracers looking more like someone blowing smoke rings than a browning automatic

Those are effectively authentic.

My main issue is when you pause the game for screenshots, the tracer vanishes and you just have a White dot ?

Bit of an immersion killer for me. I don't know that I would call them authentic. Can't say I've seen gun cam footage from any war that had tracer trails looking like a line of smoke rings.

Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly... the ol Grey matter is a bit fuzzy these days ?

I dunno. I think I saw enough in what I watched of that video to satisfy my opinion. Mostly they are straight ish trails, not a line of smoke rings.

Anyway, personal preference I guess. So, first question stands... is there a mod that alters the smoke trail of tracer rounds?

Nope, TFS don't allow Mods.

I saw some good footage at Duxford air museum a couple of days ago at a Hurricane conference, which showed tracer from BoB with the smoke effects. I can't show that video unfortunately, but this one shows the tracer at about 1 min 55.

Isn't there some irony in that?

In this RAF gun cam collection tracers that "corkscrew" smoke are more exception than rule, probable related with weather conditions (cold, humid).

The bad quality of the video don't help, probable copied from some 1990's VHS copy.
