Hi, new player here

Tried googling it but didn't find anything about this specific issue

I use a homemade head tracking set with opentrack which works perfectly. However sometimes when switching views for screenshots, the game stops tracking my head while opentrack is still running and tracking. When this happens, i can only use head tracking in the Alt+F1 view but that doesn't let me lean and raise/duck.

Now my keys are F9: enemy aircraft, F10 friendly aircraft, F11 free camera, F12 steam screenshot (i have steam version)

I removed every other binding to not have multiple/conflicting bindings for this exact reason

I checked in key bindings if i may have accidentally pressed something but no success. Also in opentrack my only keybinding is for resetting the view which is on the joystick

Opening options, closing them, opening briefing, closing, pressing all f keys, nothing seems to solve it

I don't move my mouse either in cockpit view

Edit: Forgot to mention that starting a new flight fixes it but it's infuriating when it happens in the middle of a mission
Especially when we just spotted enemy planes lol

No
That was my very first reaction to check but opentrack showed the leds still on and tracking, and head tracking resumed working after starting a new flight or pressing alt+f1 as i said

Would there be a key command that turns it off or something that i missed?

I found I had issues of cpu use when IL2 got busy and that dropped the connection or caused stutters in Opentrack.

I now set all the headtracking processes to not use cores 1-4, that are used by IL-2, via Task Manager > Details > Set Affinity.

Never have any issues since then, unless I forget!

Yes.  Check your options in open track.  Could be you have some conflicts in the key mapping.  In open track, there are keys to toggle off/on, stop, etc..
