Building new pc to replace older win7. Would like to know if win11 works trouble free or I should stick with win10? Thanks for suggestions.

Yeah, not much of an issue with it.

Works perfectly fine for me.

Plus I got it for peanuts from one of those online retailers who feel like they should be a scam but who apparently are legit ... think I paid €8 for a Win 11 Pro license when I built this PC last year.

If you own any previous Win key you can activate and legally own Win 11 with it, no matter how old the win version.  You'll get the same version as the key you own.  A single use OEM key won't work, it's married to the specific hardware as originally installed and sold, it will work for one time use as long as nobody used it prior, and won't work for reinstalling your system unless you register it to your specific hardware with MS.

So never throw your old keys away if you bought the full licensed package.
