czech693 Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Can't find where this has been brought up before. I know that at the critical angle of attack the Fw-190 abruptly stalls. While looking through the luascripts for something else I found this in data/(null)/luascripts/worldobjects/planes: Fw-190A-3 DangerAoA = 18.0 CriticalAoA = 19.5 Fw-190A-5 through Fw-190D-9 DangerAoA = 13.5 CriticalAoA = 15.5 The Aircraft Flight and Technical Specifications page shows all Fw-190 having stall angle of attack in flight condition = 19.5 and stall angle of attack in landing configuration = 18.1. It also shows all Fw-190 having the same wingspan and wing area (I always thought the D-9 had a wider wingspan). It doesn't appear that the majority of the Fw-190's have the specified data. Is this a technical flaw?
=MERCS=JenkemJunkie Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 You're talking about the stuff at the very bottom of the file right? If you translate the Russian line right above it, it reads "Hints in technochat" so it just has to do with technochat messages, and doesn't affect the flight model.
