AgroAlba Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Is this Pilot Career mode going to be usable for players who have just purchased Vol.I?
tattywelshie Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 That looks fab, defo going to be buying vol 2 now! Thanks guys ? 1
sevenless Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 (edited) Very nice! Our goal is to fully reproduce the aircraft set and the Rise of Flight map in the modern engine. We are hoping for a positive outcome and your support, since the player interest primarily affects our decisions. Edited February 17, 2023 by sevenless 1 2

I’m sure the level of support will be high, whilst I’m a WW2 nut, I do still like to strap myself into those old kites for a spot of chivalrous death and destruction. 3 4
Blitzen Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 This is great news- I'm ready for service over the Western Front!? 1
Jaegermeister Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Outstanding news! I am very glad to hear that plans are progressing as originally intended. I wish you the best of luck in your discussions with Ugra Media and look forward to being able to pre-order FCIII in the near future. 1 2
CaptainFlemme Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 That's great news ? ! Not only FC carreer mode looking nice, but also the part about (prudently) expecting positive outcome for FC vol3, new seasons for the map and campaign expansion ? !! Keep the great work !
Boelcke Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Hope that there will be more realistic altitudes for the different mission types as it is yet in the ww2 career missions - way to low as it was in reality.
1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Good stuff! The tech for new type missions (Photo Recon, Artillery Fire Adjustment and Visual Recon) will also work in multiplayer mode? 5
Luger1969 Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Looks great. Volume 1 campaign also included? 2
TG-55Panthercules Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Great news - especially about possibilities for FC Vol.3 and beyond. Any word on how the new career mode will handle assignment of skins to player and/or AI units?
ZachariasX Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Great!! Very much looking forward to the update! And any further continuation of FC… ?
Voyager Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Very cool. Out of curiosity, will this also bring in the quick action mission stuff we see in the WWII side?
S10JlAbraxis Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Looks great and count me in for volume 3! 1
Vishnu Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Awesome! I primarily fly WWII, but love to pop in to WWI to do something a little different. So glad there is more development. 1
DN308 Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 WW1 seems to be the only center of interest 1
=gRiJ=Roman- Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 I wish the reccon missions get to WW2 as well ... 3
=621=Samikatz Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 That Vol.3 is on the cards is very good news! I need to have my beloved Felixstowe back... 1 1
JFM Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Great news and will fully support FC3. In fact, although I don't care about the plane, I'll buy the Snipe now as a pay-it-forward investment. 1
FTC_Snowy Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Great news about the further development of Flying Circus. I look forward to FC3. 2
Avimimus Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 I do hope the AQMB also gets included (with airstarts close enough to the combat area to keep the missions 'quick'). Here is hoping for FC3 (and that it does well enough to warrant doing an FC4 with a couple of additional aircraft - rather than releasing the remaining Rise of Flight aircraft as collector planes)! P.S. I wonder if a 3rd party might add a WWII artillery spotter as well? To allow the gameplay to not just be specific to WWI? 1

It'll probably be just the stock skins that are in the game right now, like it is for the WWII side. I'll try to mix things up as best I can, but since we don't have the mountain of individual unit skins like in ROF, it's going to be a bit different. Thankfully, we now have tactical codes (which are date-dependent), so that will add some variety especially on the British side. 2

=IRFC=Gascan Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 This is awesome news! I'm hoping the negotiations go well and we can see the rest of the RoF machines make it over to Flying Circus. Will the Photo Recon and Artillery Spotting missions be available for MP servers as well? What is the Visual Reconnaissance mission? 1 5

And as shown by Skycat, myself, and others modding the skins for career is pretty straight forward, so if people get to work on making squadron generics then we can get em appearing easy enough.
Winkelmann Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 When willl the Siemens-Schuckert D.IV be released? 1 3

335th_GRbas_754 Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 il2 started out as a WWII airplane combat simulator. Later for the sake of competition (war thunder) you decided to include in the game tanks, vehicles, and planes of the first world war. If all this effort had been devoted to improving only the ww2 aircraft and all parameters related to them, and if you had upgraded the game's graphics engine at this time il2 would simply be without a rival. However, the decision for the il2 team to invest in what I mentioned above has simply brought the game to almost arcade levels, resulting in games like dcs starting to gain more and more audiences. 8 3 5

simfan2015 Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Thanks Han ! FC III would/will be an instant pre-order ... for sure ! BTW I hope the Siemens will be available soon as well. 6
JGr2/J5_Hotlead Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 (edited) Woo hoo!!! Thank you for this update! Very, very excited that negotiations are taking place to bring the rest of the ROF birds to FC. And career mode is something a ton of people will greatly appreciate. (Extra awesomeness if arty spotting and recon mechanics can make their way from SP to MP this time around.) I’ll definitely be preordering and promoting Volume 3 once it's available. You know, given that the ROF birds could potentially all be coming here eventually, and given that we now have WW1 collector planes as a thing, this could lead to some very interesting collector planes to fill out mid-to-early war planesets. ? Very exciting times here! Thank you, 1CGS! ? Edited February 17, 2023 by JG1_Hotlead_J10 1 4
migmadmarine Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Also, glad to see the update, put me down for FC.III as well, and hopefully a port of the channel down the road. My heart will always hope for an Italian Front/Adriatic for FC... 3
BladeMeister Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 WWI getting some Love. You had me at 94th Aerosquadron, but new mission types, expanding FC to complete the lineup of kites from ROF and the possibility of FC III being created and you definitely have my interest Han. Hand on wallet, ready to throw money ? your way. Thanks for the DD today, they really do keep my interest in what the team is up to and what will hopefully be developed in the future. Good comms with your customers is the key to the teams job security and hopefully success in the current and new projects. S!Blade<>< 1 2
