Issues with Normandy career mode

Hello all, I hope you have a great day.

 

I have a couple of issues with Normandy career mode, and as far as I'm aware this only happens on Normandy, other career theaters are fine.

 

When I start up a career, the frontlines are switched as if im playing for the other side (Germany shows as hostile (red) when I'm German, vice versa for US and Britain as well).

 

the units are affected as well but inconsistently. Sometimes when I bomb hostile forces (like Bofors and US arty in my Me 410) I get a friendly fire penalty (no friendly units were remotely near them either). Sometimes they can become invincible, bombs going off like 2 meters away from them and nothing happens.

 

Sometimes, landing craft I destroy spawn back at their cargo ship... upside down and floating up to the sky (I have many pics to back this up, just request and I will give an imgur link lol)

 

One bit I should mention is that I got Normandy via Steam while other theaters directly from website. That could be it?

 

I have verified and re-verified, uninstalled and installed again, nothing happened sadly. Any suggestions?

Whenever anything of this happen again, please send me the generated mission file (_gen.mission from /data/Missions). I'll check it, probably some errors in mission generation templates.

Hi, this happens every time I launch the Normandy career mode. with all 3 factions sadly.

 

I can't attach the file here because its too big (20MB), is there other ways?

The files definitely are not that big. It's the _gen.mission file in the /data/missions directory that then needs to be zipped before uploading here.

 

As well, make sure you don't have any mods installed. That is all too often the cause of issues people are having.

No sir, no mods installed or any other texture/skin packs at all. Matter of fact I have never installed anything beside DLCs.

Any updates? I'm thinking of refunding Normandy on Steam and getting it via website directly later.

I wouldn't expect these issues to be fixed until the next planned update at the earliest, which could be weeks from now.

 

I do know however that the problem doesn't have anything to do with the Steam version; they use the exact same game files. Getting BoN from the website store won't fix anything.
