Flight Club- Ranked IL2 E-Sports Dueling League

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Flight Club, IL2's first E-Sports series. Quite simply, Flight Club is a dueling league in which players gain or lose points based on their performances in ranked matches (similar to common Elo ranking systems).  Pilots of all experience levels are welcome and encouraged to join!!!  Matchmaking is score-based and pilots will be placed into various Divisions based on their score. The conclusion of each Flight Club season will be marked by a tournament for each Division. Because each Division is based on accumulated score, every player, regardless of experience level, will theoretically be able to compete for the gold medal. Although 1v1 competitions will be the blue ribbon event, Flight Club will also include 2v2 fights. The 1v1 and 2v2 events will be included in the season ending tournaments. 

 

 

Matches will be flown exclusively using First World War fighters. The simplistic and close-in nature of WW1 dogfights lends well to intense and competitive fights. Despite the lack of WWII aircraft in this E-Sports series, we believe that this will be an excellent opportunity for all members of the IL2 community to demonstrate their dogfighting skills on a level playing field. We hope to include prizes for the winners of all Divisional tournaments. 

 

Matches will be organized on the Flight Club Discord Server, and they will be conducted on the Flugpark Duel & Dogfight server.  Match rules can be found in the corresponding Discord channel.

 

We have put many months of planning and brainstorming into this project, and we hope it will give the IL2 community at large an exciting new twist.
