New book on WW1 aircraft design and performance

@giftgruen: Regarding the relative performance: Check out what the experienced pilots who fly FC multi-player here are saying and the videos they post in this forum:

Since these guys fly competitively against each other, they find out pretty fast how the different FM's compare so they know exactly what are the different models strengths and weaknesses. This added to in-game measurements of speed, climb and turn performance gives us a pretty solid idea about how the in-game FM's compare to historical data.

About comparing the other planes you mention, maybe, we will see. WW2 aircraft are also very interesting to model, and the book market is so much bigger! ;)

That's fine. A blokes gotta eat. But once you've made yer dough you can concentrate on the finer things in life, wine, women and WW1, without financial constraint. ;)

Ah, yes Catchov, the women back then were something else…….I have especially fond memories of Kaeti von Klugermann.  But being a gentleman, I of course cannot go into details…..

Anyway, to put food on the table, I’m busy working as a consultant to ensure an even higher level of fidelity of the flight scenes in the follow up to this film.

Agreed. As a gentleman myself, one keeps those things to oneself. One does not besmirch ladies of calibre.

Sir, I am aroused. Are you able to provide additional details? If not, I fully understand as a gentleman and it shall go no further.

On a more serious note: I have started to look at the Sopwith Snipe as well and preliminary indications are that while it does quite all right at lower altitudes, it's a shame that nothing came of the planned Dragonfly engine, because with the Bentley, it quickly runs out of steam as the altitude goes up.

Finally, after a long battle with my Publisher Lulu Press Inc., my book is now also available on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Ww1-Aircraft-Performance-AERODYNAMICS-5a/dp/9198774808

Since this is my first title and I therefore have no previous ratings, I would really appreciate it those of you who have the book and have had time to read it could spare the time to write a review there.

Thanks!
